The starting point for much of my work is the attempted reconciliation of apparently uncompromising opposites. Combinations of “things” become something else, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Colours, textures, abstract, figurative, people, places,lifestyles, chance and probability. Life evolves at borders ?
The paintings are what you make of them, how they look and how you react is what IS. All I ask, if I ask anything, is that when people look at my work they attempt to allow their mental and physical planes to cross their own borders into who knows where. OK I’m probably some kind of a holographic quantum abstract figurative surrealist, as much, or as little, as anything else. I may also be a projection from other dimensions (5-11) and my paintings are projections made real in our everyday dimensions(3-4).
