I have been busy making short films with first take Liverpool. These have been sponsored by Granada tv.Hopefully they will be entered into film festivals if the edits are good.I will try and put some of my images up in the future but I’m not really a regular web user, tho’ I do have a website:
    http://www.violetmazeadventures.blogspot.com.
I did set it up to put my artwork on but it had a mind of its own and turned into a campaign site.

I have recently written a play about trying to save a house in the Liverpool 8 Welsh Streets from demolition. It lasts for 10 minutes and will hopefully be staged this summer.
I am now working on a 10 minute screenplay about gun crime and young people.I will be on the panel for a debate in Liverpool at FACT on 7th May 2008 2-4pm.It is called ‘Loaded’ and will go out live on the Tenantspin website.
I hope to have my film produced when it is finished and show it in schools and colleges in the U.K.

  3. I showed 3 of the short films I worked on with First Take at the Toxteth Art Gallery’s Biennial show at St. Brides Church, Toxteth recently.
During the show I visited Morocco and took 4 hours of High Definition footage.I am doing film training with Tenantspin at FACT and have just finished uploading the films onto a hard drive.I am now going to learn editing and produce some kind of short film which I will try and put up on the internet.

  4. I am working with Tenantspin/FACT at the TATE Liverpool for the ‘5th Floor Project’ exhibition which runs from December 16th to January 31st 2009 on the 4th floor, free entry. They have built a t.v.studio there to broadcast from.

I am also facilitating an event for the International Festival in the same exhibition which is about the environment, specifically for me the Garden Festival Site of which I am part of a major campaign to save it for the people. We believe it should stay as a mature forest rather than turn into a new town (1400 apartments) on a toxic dump. Read about that campaign at http://www.violetmazeadventures.blogspot.com.Event at lunchtime on sunday January 14th 2009.
See also TATE’s website http://www.oyezoyezoyezoyez.blogspot.com for my regular violetmaze news updates.

  5. Event at TATE is not on 14th january but 11th January 2009 at 2-4pm.We have John Davies hosting a debate on ‘loss of public spaces and land giveaways’
