Sam Smith

I am a novelist and poet who enjoys collaborating with artists in other mediums – ‘Rooms & Dialogues’ (boho press) being the last between myself and the painter Sarah Ward. I have worked with musicians in Somerset, Leicester and Devon. My latest poetry collection, ‘An Atheist’s Alphabetical Approach to Death’ is about to be brought out by Skrev Press of Hebden Bridge.

I run The Journal, a poetry magazine, and Original Plus Press from my base in Maryport, Cumbria.

My last attempt at blogging a novel having been successful (see John John) I am now – due to the generosity of those kind people at Bibliophilia – http://www.bibliophilia.org/index.php?categoryid=14&p2_articleid=204 – putting up a slice of 2 Bridgwater Days every week

One Response to “Sam Smith”

  1. This Morning

A new day green and fresh
    has white turbine blades
    neatly chopping the air,
    briefly sectioning
    the blue-grey sky behind.

    But the vacancy
    of an unremembered dream
    haunts this morning,

    and the greenhouse
    smells of cooked earth.
